It’s been a busy summer with my work getting out in several venues.
"Shore Thing", a 3 person exhibit at the Center for the Visual Arts in Wausau, WI hung throughout July. This was a large show featuring 18 of my water-themed paintings along with paintings by Sheryl Budnik and Peg Sandin.
My painting "Waterways" received a merit award in the Wisconsin Artists Biennial at the Anderson Art Center in Kenosha, WI. and was featured on the cover of the color catalogue.
"Pastel Perspectives", a 4 person exhibit at the Decatur Area Arts Council’s Madden Arts Center hung throughout August in Decatur, IL. The show included a dozen of my paintings along with work by Rick Hines, Katherine Irish Henry and Kathryn Fehlig.
And further from home, 3 paintings hung with the Pastel Society of New Mexico show at the the Johnson’s of Madrid Gallery in Madrid, New Mexico.
Fall has remained full of exhibition opportunities as well.
Two paintings hung in "Pastels Chicago" with the Chicago Pastel Painters at the Mayslake Peabody Estate. The piece titled "Rich Remains" took an award.
The painting "Well-worn" made the trip to New York to hang at the National Arts Club in the Pastel Society of America’s annual national juried show.
Three paintings are included in the Pastel Society of New Mexico’s annual national juried show in Albuquerque. The show hangs through November 27th.
